SPA TRADISIONAL, YOGA ASANAS, DAN MEDITASI DI UBUD, BALI Penerapan Tema Natural pada Ruang Luar

Natural theme is a design theme used to create yoga and spa facility because this theme can form a characteristic which is different from the design result, so that it becomes the attraction especially the outer design. This theme was determined based on several approaches, consisted of; the function of the building, potential site location and nature & culture conservation. The design which can represent the environment atmosphere blending with the nature has become the attraction of this facility, the natural theme played an important role for the outdoor arrangement since outdoor area or landscape architecture is an open area composed of lines and roofless area. Based on the observation, there are many similar facilities in Ubud, but the outdoor element arrangement is still not proper, for example the material usage on the pedestrian and kinds of plants which are not suitable with the facility atmosphere, therefore, studies through some outdoor design aspects consisted of softscape elements and hardscape elements are needed.This study used three design methods, i.e. (1) ideas/design background, (2) data collecting & analysis, (3) design specification. This theme is implemented through the pedestrian design with local materials and an anti slip as the hardscape element, using local plants such as Jepun trees as the softscape elements, and an artificial river as an additional softscape element.
