ARENA REKREASI BILIAR DI GIANYAR, BALI Penerapan Konsep Perancangan Ruang Dalam dan Ruang Luar pada Desain Bangunan

ABSTRACT The Billiard Recreational Arena in Gianyar functions as a place where people can play billiard as an amusement, sport and training. The interior and exterior rooms of the arena are importantly taken into consideration when designing the arena used as a place where people can play billiard as an amusement, sport and training. The interior and exterior rooms of the arena should be designed in such a way that they can make the visitors feel comfortable and safe as what is expected. Based on the result of the survey made in Gianyar, it was found that many billiard arenas and their facilities, especially the inside and outside rooms, had been less perfectly designed. As an illustration, the tables used in them were not in accordance with what was expected by the players. The outside room was not equipped with the softscape element. Therefore, the rooms where the billiard tables are placed, how the tables are organized, what softscape and hardscape elements are needed, and so forth should be redesigned. Three methods of designing are used in the present study; they are (1) the idea/background of the design, (2) the data collection and analysis, (3) the specification of design. In this way, the outside and inside rooms of the billiard recreational arena can be made in accordance with the space needed, the concept of design, the choice of building material, the color, the safety, the comfort, the accessories and the decoration needed.
