Abstrak
The objectives of this experiment were to increase rumen fermentation metabolites and growth perfor- mances of ettawah crossbred goat (PE) through Molamix concentrate supplementation. The design of the experiment was Completely Randomized Block arrangement consisted of three treatments, three blocks of goat based on body live weight as replication. The third treatments were 100% roughage diet consisted of natural grass, gliricidia leaves, and hibiscus leaves (1:3:1) without concentrate supplementation (HK0) as a control; HK0 which supplemented 7.5% Molamix concentrate (HK7.5) and 15% supplemented Molamix concentrate (HK15). The results of this experiment indicated that the Molamix concentrate supplementation significantly increased the consumption of dry matter (DM =399 to 451 g/head/day); organic matter (OM = 359 to 406 g/head/day); crude protein (CP = 70 to 80 g/head/day); crude fiber (CF = 81 to 85 g/head/day); and gross energy (GE = 1.608 to 1.802 Mcal/head/day), respectively. The increasing of DM and nutrient consumption had positive contribution on the increasing metabolites of rumen fermentation, especially VFA ( 212 to 408 mM) and N-ammonia (11.3 to 13.5 mM). Although, VFA and N-ammonia on the goat which offered diet HK15 were lower compared to the goat which offered diet HK7,5, but their utilization efficien- cies of nutrient were higher and it increased the average daily gain (52.3 to 62.0 g/head/day). Results of the experiment concluded that the Molamix concentrate supplementation significantly increased the DM (399 to 451 g/head/day) and CP, (70 to 80 g/head/day) consumption. They had positive contribution to increase the metabolites of rumen fermentation: VFA (212 to 408 mM), N-ammonia (11.3 to 13.5 mM), and the average daily gain (52.3 to 62.0 g/head/day). The supplementation of 15% concentrate Molamix were gave the best response to increase metabolites of rumen fermentation and growth performance which had the highest nutrients efficiencies utility.
