Abstract

This book discusses several aspects of languages, culture and literature that exist in several regions of Indonesia. Language studies include Tonsawang language in North Sulawesi, Acehnese, Lamaholot and Lio languages in East Nusa Tenggara, Lampung language and other regional languages ​​in the archipelago. Meanwhile, the cultural studies in this book are more on the study of Sundanese, Javanese, Balinese and other Indonesian cultures. In addition to the two aspects of the discussion above, the political aspects that determine nationalism and linguistic imperialism are discussed in relation with regional languages. In the case of literary studies, stretches of thought about modern literary studies, classical literature and studies of folklore. Nevertheless, the representation of Austronesian languages ​​and cultures in this proceeding is still limited. Its empirical and theoretical studies are still up-to-dated to enrich our scientific understanding of Austronesian, either its languages, its cultures and its literature.
