refreshing by enjoying various types of entertainment. In modern society the
fulfillment of demands for entertainment or the use of free time is a very
important requirement, although for that one must spend a significant amount of
money. In subsequent developments, efforts to fulfill entertainment and leisure
time use are managed more intensively, giving birth to the tourism industry as
it is known today. The development of the tourism industry has a significant
influence on various aspects of people's lives.
Tourism is basically a multi-dimensional phenomenon that includes economic, political, environmental, socio-cultural dimensions, and so on. In fact, for the whole and in-depth tourism, a multidisciplinary approach is needed. This fact led to the birth of Tourism Anthropology which is a specialization of Anthropology that focuses attention on socio-cultural issues related to the field of tourism. The Development of Tourism Anthropology was pioneered by N.H. Graburn, through his work: The Anthropology of Tourism (1975). Since then the role of Tourism Anthropology has become increasingly important, given the development of tourism as a travel industry has caused various implications for the lives of people in various parts of the world.
