Abstrak

In general, the development of tourist attractions takes place naturally without being based on planning supported by scientific studies. The development of tourist attraction is marked by the emergence of various forms of response from the surrounding community that is done independently and spontaneously to benefit from increased tourist visits. This often has the potential to cause a number of problems, especially in terms of physical and institutional arrangements.

To anticipate these problems, the development of tourist attractions should be based on a policy plan prepared based on scientific studies. This book is structured to be used as a guide to identify the types of potential and characteristics of tourist attractions that are carried out based on scientific approaches. Thus it is expected that the development of tourist attractions can be carried out in a more planned and directed manner so that it is not only able to provide maximum satisfaction for tourists, but also is beneficial for improving the economy, preservation of local culture and environment.
