Genetic changes of Impatiens balsamina by kafein

Abstrak
This study uses Impatiens balsamina’s
seeds obtained from community agriculture in the Sading area, Badung. The
treatments given were done by soaking the seeds for 24 hours in a caffeine
solution with concentrations of 0.2%, 0.4%, 0.6%, 0.8% and 1%. As a control,
the seeds were soaked in distilled water. Then the seeds were planted in
polybags, using a Randomized Group Design experimental design. Observations
were made on the percentage of germination, and morphological characteristics
such as plant height, number of leaves, length and width of leaves, stem
circumference, number of branches, number of flower buds, number of flowers. In
addition, stomata number, chromosome number and chlorophyll concentration were
also observed
