Policy Analysis of Coaching and Strategy for Sustainability of Cooperatives in Gianyar Regency, Bali-Indonesia

Abstrak

The cooperative in Indonesia is a cooperative enterprise on the principle of kinship, for the welfare of members and society. In Gianyar Regency, the number of cooperatives continues to increase, but the number of cooperatives is not active also continue to increase. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the conditions and strategies of cooperative development, as well as the role of coaching guidance policy in Gianyar regency. Data analysis technique used is Strengh Weakness Opportunity Threat (SWOT) analysis to identify internal and external factors of cooperative, and analyze cooperative development strategy. Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) analysis is used to analyze the role of moderation of coaching factor on the influence of cooperative manager capability towards cooperative sustainability. The result of the research shows that cooperatives in Gianyar Regency in general can be said that the cooperative in Gianyar Regency has the dominant power and opportunity elements so that the cooperative business is still growing. The coaching of the manager of the cooperative significantly proved to strengthen the influence of the capability of the cooperative’s manager towards the sustainability of the cooperative in Gianyar Regency. Based on the SWOT analysis, the most suitable strategy for the development of cooperatives in Gianyar Regency is aggressive strategy by combining the strengths of cooperatives to utilize opportunities that potential cooperatives in the Gianyar Regency.
