Land resource damages mostly occur in the upstream part of watershed is the results of human activities that do not take land capabilities into consideration. Therefore, it is important that the land capability should become the basis to land use for minimizing land damages which lead to decreasing land productivity. The purpose of this study was to determine the land capability classes and their limiting factors for land use in Bubuh watershed, Bangli district of Bali province. The method used in this research is a survey by collecting biophysical data in field and soil samples for their physical properties analysis in a laboratory. Three different classes are observed in Bubuh subwatershed. Class III with total area of 1,275.81 ha spread over land units 1, 6, 7, 8 and 12 with erosion and slope are the limiting factors. Class IV with an area of 315.12 ha is found in land units 3, 4, 9, 10 and 11 with slope and poor drainage are the limiting factors. Class VI covering an area of 110.23 ha are found in land units 2 and 5 with limiting factors including erosion and steep slopes. The directions for land use in Bubuh sub-watershed is to increase plant density, cultivate land, provide organic fertilizers, make terraces and shrub land units must be converted into production forests.
