Prof. Dr. drh. I Wayan Suardana, MSi. is a teaching and researcher staff in the Department of Veterinary Public Health, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University.  He was born in Samuan Kawan, Carangsari on January 22, 1970.  He completed his Veterinary Education at FKH Unud in 1994 which was subsequently received as a lecturer in December 1995 through a scholarship from the Department of Higher Education. In 1999 the writer had the opportunity to continue his magister studies at FKH-IPB and graduated in January 2001 with a Master of Science (MSI) in Veterinary Public Health division. In 2008, the author continued his doctoral study at Gadjah Mada University by choosing the Biotechnology Study Program that completed in February 2012 with the title of the dissertation "Study of Genetic Markers and Cloning of Shiga Like Toxin-2 Escherichia coli O157: H7". As a teaching staff, the authors teach and supervise students in the Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine program, the veterinary profession, Masters of Veterinary Medicine, and Doctor of Medicine and Animal Husbandry. In addition to teaching, the writer is also active as a researcher with funding sources from the Directorate of Higher Education, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Ministry of Health. Some undergraduate, S2 and S3 students including examiners and supervisors of S2 and S3 students at UGM have been produced from their guidance. The author was awarded the title of Senior Research II in the life Science category from the University of Udayana in 2010 and briefly presented the results of his research at the "Research Conference of" Emerging Disease at the Convergence of Animal, Human and Environmental Health "at Chiang Mai University, Thailand. Several scientific studies have been published in several reputable International Journals (Q1, Q2, and Q3) and National Journals. Several patents / IPR and textbooks were also produced as a work of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education among the Zoonotic Textbooks published by PT Kanisius, as well as the Epidemiology and Veterinary Economics textbooks, Food Hygiene, and Public Health published by Udayana Press. For his achievements the author was named as a lecturer of Achievement I at Udayana University in 2015 as well as a finalist of National achievers in the same year, besides as well as The rising Indonesian Research in Life Science Catagory from YARSI University in 2017. For his work, the writer obtained an academic position Professor in 2018. In the structural position, the author has served as head of the laboratory and head of the division before being trusted as Vice  Dean I in the academic and planning fields 2018-2021.
