Gusti Ayu Yuniati Kencana was born in Tabanan, Bali, June 5, 1959.  Graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (1983), graduated Veterinarian (1984) from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Gadjah University, Yogyakarta.    Postgraduate Program in Veterinary Science at Gadjah University and graduated from the Masters Program (1995) and graduated from the Doctoral Program in 2010.

Coordinator of Veterinary Education Undergraduate Study Program (2018-2022).  Head of the Virology Laboratory of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (2012-2018).  Inaugurated by the Chancellor as Professor of Virology at Udayana University in 2013.

The Coordinator of Cooperation with the National Poultry Factory Vaccine industry partners namely: PT Sanbio Labolatories has been located in Gunung Putri, Bogor (since 2014 until now), and  PT Biotis Prima Agrisindo has been located in Gunung Sindur, Bogor (since 2019 until now).  Research on the poultry virus virus vaccine has been carried out with the two industry partners for vaccine development and research with students for the thesis.
