I Dewa Gde Mayun Permana was born in Klungkung Bali on November 7, 1959 as the first child of three siblings from the couple I Dewa Made Oka and I Desak Gede Oka. Undergraduate education (S1) was completed in 1985, postgraduate (S2) graduated in 1992 and doctoral degree (Dr) was completed in 2013 at Gadjah Mada University. Work as a lecturer at the Faculty of Agricultural Technology until now and has served as dean in 2013 to 2017. The field of  science that has been studied so far is enzymology and the comodity which is occupied is cocoa.
