Made Pharmawati
Lecturer, Biology Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University, Bali, Indonesia. She did her BSc at Bogor Agricultural University, Bogor, Indonesia, in the field of Biology. She then studied Plant Cellular Physiology for her MSc at Deakin University, Victoria, Australia, and went to The University of Western Australia for her PhD on Plant Biology. She was awarded an Endeavor Research Award from Australian Award in 2009 and an Academic Recharging Program from Directorate of Higher Education of Indonesia in 2010 for postdoctoral studies at The University of Western Australia. All research during her study solidified her interest in investigating genetic diversity using DNA markers as well as gene expression in response to environmental stress. She has over 25 years’ experience in DNA profiling studies. Currently, she is conducting research on genetic responses of plants to abiotic stress and has a project on seagrass genetic diversity and bioprospecting. As a lecturer, Made Pharmawat involves in teaching several subjects related to plant genetics and molecular. Since her involvement in the academic areas, she has a number of publications in reputable international scientific journals.
