I Wayan Mulyawan is an associate professor in English Department, Faculty of Arts Udayana University Bali. In the last four years, he has focused his research to explore public signs in Bali. The research has covered many tourist areas in Bali, such as Kuta, Sanur, Batubulan and Ubud. The analysis covered the clusterization of outdoor signs, the impact of outdoor sign to local languages, representation of local vernacular in outdoor signs, and visual image analysis of outdoor signs.
