Israel-Palestine dispute settlement has been carried out for decades without clear results. United Nations became one of considerable facilitator international organization who placed the issue at the first point. As long as both conflicting countries have not agreed on peace agreement, the UN is considered a failure to create world peace. Beyond that condition, President of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, who had fought for Palestinian independence through diplomatic action finally saw opportunity how to win political support from UN member states. Humanitarian issue become his (Abbas) agenda to improve Palestine political status from ‘entity’ to a ‘non member observer state’, which means sovereignty of Palestine has been recognized internationally. However, peace agreement between Israel-Palestine seems like another way to go. A Roadmap towards a two-state political solution should initiated by whoever has competencies and abilities.
