2020 is a tough year for people in almost all over the world, Bali is no exception. The spread of the covid-19 epidemic (corona virus) which paralyzed various aspects of people's lives, became a separate challenge that had to be overcome. Initially, this pandemic certainly had an impact on the health of the people who suffered from it, but gradually this disease also had a greater impact on the socio-economic life of the people. Quoted from www.republika.com (2020) covid-19 is a disease that is easily transmitted through small drops or sparks from the nose or mouth when someone infected with this virus sneezes or coughs, when the droplets land on an object or surface that is touched and the person The healthy touches their eyes, nose or mouth. The corona virus can also spread when small droplets are inhaled by a person when in close contact with an infected corona.
This fact requires the community to maintain physical and social distance which in turn has an impact on a variety of activities that can usually involve a lot of people now being limited, even the central and regional governments had appealed that people do not move outside the home. People are asked to do all activities such as work, study, and entertainment activities at home, in order to avoid being exposed to the virus. The situation is not easy to do because the community is accustomed to activities outside the home, even more than that activities outside the home and establishing relationships / interactions with others is a necessity for some people. Quoted from www.merdeka.com (2020), Dr. Amir Khan from the NHS argues, when social restrictions are increasingly strict, mental health experts warn that losing this important connection can come with high psychological risks.
The situation is a heavy burden for the government, in addition to trying to increase the recovery rate of sufferers of co-19, the government must also try to do prevention. Prevention efforts were carried out by the Provincial Government of Bali, through the involvement of traditional villages as the front guard. Team Leader Expert Team for the Acceleration of Covid-19 Handling Wiku Adisasmito said the distribution of the corona virus in the Bali region was indeed under control. According to him, local wisdom adopted by the Balinese people despite being a destination for foreign tourists proved to be able to suppress the spread of corona. He also highlighted the role of customary villages through the banjars and the role of pecalang as law enforcers in adat which was obeyed by the community, which helped to improve the discipline of citizens to comply with the health protocol prevention covid-19 (www.cnnindonesia.com, 2020). The involvement of traditional villages in the prevention of the distribution of covid-19 began with the issuance of Decree Number 472/1571 / PPDA / DPMA and Number 05 / SK / MDA-Prov Bali / III / 2020 by the Governor of Bali signed by the MDA Supreme Council of the Province of Bali, Ida Panglingsir Agung Putra Sukahet (Mahardika, 2020).
Traditional villages in Bali play an important role in overcoming co-19, both on a scale and noetic basis. Traditionally, the adat village mobilized pecalang as a security group for the adat village to guard the border and the entrance to the village. Equipped with a disinfectant that is sprayed on the driver to minimize the spread of the virus. In addition to pecalang, the traditional prajuru also actively came to the homes of residents to socialize so that people postpone all forms of yadnya ceremonies or traditional ceremonies that were planned during the Covid-19 pandemic, in order to prevent the crowd. Noetic efforts have also been taken by traditional villages in Bali by appealing to traditional villages in Bali to ask God to end this outbreak soon. Niskala efforts have been carried out such as encouraging people to make wong-wongan, installing thorny pandanus leaves tied with tri datu threads, then offering daksina offerings at the Khayangan Tiga Temple, respectively, and so on. It is hoped that both scale and niskala efforts undertaken by traditional villages in Bali can prevent, reduce, and even eliminate the corona virus from Bali Island, even the world.
