LEGAL PROTECTION OF CONSUMER SERVICES MAKE UP ARTIST USING FAKE COSMETICS

Make up artist service in this instant era is popular. The number of make up artists is equivalent to the number of enthusiasts of make up artist services. However, this situation used by unscrupulous individuals to gain profits. One of them is often found make up artist who uses fake cosmetics. And then it develop questions of how legal protection is for consumers of make-up artist users who use fake cosmetics, as well as how business actors are responsible for consumers. This study aims to analyze and determine the legal protection that is obtained for consumers and the responsibility of business actors regarding the use of fake cosmetics. The method used in this study is empirical research method. Legal protection related to the use of fake cosmetics by make-up artists is regulated in UU No. 8 Tahun 1999 tentang Perlindungan Konsumen. The right of information is an important thing that must be obtained by consumers from business people so that consumers feel comfortable and safe. If the consumer feels disadvantaged, business actors who must be responsible. This responsibility can take the form of replacing goods or replacing money in order to account for his actions.
