The ovary is one of the organs of the female reproductive system, which plays a role in the process of ovum formation and hormone secretion which is important in determining secondary sexual characteristics, menstrual cycle and fertility. Ovarian tumor, which is benign or malignant, is a disease that can arise from various cells that make up the ovarian organ.
