I was born in Yeh Sumbul Village, Jembrana Regency, Bali Province. My first study was at SD Negeri 2 Yeh Sumbul, then continued to SLTP Negeri 3 Mendoyo, and senior high school at SMA Negeri 1 Negara. I got my bachelor degree from Department of Marine Sciences, Diponegoro University, Semarang, and master degree from Master Program in Coastal Resource Management at the same University. After getting my master degree I got the opportunity to work in a private company of consulting services. I worked at that company for a year, and at the end of 2013, I was accepted as a lecturer at the Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries, Udayana University.
