Biografi
I pursued my Bachelor
and Professional Degrees in Nursing at the Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogjakarta.
During my undergraduate study, I received a scholarship from the Swedish
International Development Cooperation Agency for Spring Semester intake given
to undergraduate students to study and join clinical placements in some universities,
hospitals and primary healthcare centers in Sweden. These experiences had led me
to choose community nursing as my area of interest. After graduating, I joined a
multidisciplinary team under the Provincial Health Office’s project for one
year to provide free healthcare services to vulnerable populations in
under-served areas in Bali such as in Karangasem, Buleleng and Bangli
regencies.
I began my career
in Universitas Udayana in 2010 as a non-permanent lecturer and through the
Australian Development Scholarship in 2012, I pursued my postgraduate program
in Master of Nursing Science (MNS) at the University of Adelaide in Australia
and received a recognition for my
academic excellence from the University of Adelaide and from the Golden Key
International Honour Society.
Since 2014, I have
become a civil servant in Universitas Udayana and at the same year I was
assigned as the school’s international partnership coordinator. I had initiated
several international partnerships, such as with The University of Rhode
Islands (USA), University of Kochi (Japan), Kindai Himeji University (Japan),
Our Lady of Fatima University (The Philippines), and Prince of Songkla
University (Thailand). Then, in 2018, I have been appointed as the academic coordinator
of the school of nursing’ undergraduate program.
As a lecturer, my
teaching specialties are in the areas of community, gerontology and family
nursing. My research interests and publications are in the field of health
promotion, health-promoting lifestyles, self-care in nursing, m-health, nursing
education and professionalism, as well as travel health nursing.
Currently, I am an
active member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honour Society of Nursing
Phi Gamma Chapter and also join the American Travel Health Nurse Association.
