Biografi
I graduated as a
Medical Doctor at Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University in 1988 and Neurology
Specialist at Medical Faculty, University of Indonesia (1993-1996) and currently
working as a Neurologist at Sanglah General Hospital Denpasar. I was
inaugurated as a Neurobehavioral Consultant from Indonesian Neurology Collegium
in 2009, then continued my doctoral study in 2010-2014 at Postgraduate Program
Udayana University (graduated
with cum-laude). I am currently as a main clinical physician with the rank of First Administrator/IVe. I am in charge on
the provision of health services in the hospital, giving Neuroscience/Neurobehavioral
lectures to medical undergraduate study program, medical profession and Neurology
Study Program at Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.
In the year
2006-2010, I was the Secretary of Medical Education Program for Specialist
Doctor of Neurology in Medical Faculty Udayana University (2006-2010) and head of Neurology Study Program at
2016-2018. I
am currently working as Coordinator of
Neurology Study Program from 2018 until 2022. I was as Lector of
Functional at Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University in 2018.
I had opened
a Neurobehavioral clinic collaborated with the Neurobehavioral team in 2015
which aims to improve the neurobehavioral services, learning processes, educational
activities and researches. Some of my scientific articles are synergistic and
linear, especially in the field of Neurobehavioral.
Experimental studies (dissertation) regarding the decreased amyloid-beta
deposits, increased BDNF and decreased CRP with dementia model which are
associated with physical exercise. This research suggested that regular
physical activities could increase BDNF astrocytes expressions, the novelty was
the significant increasing astrocyte cells had an important role in brain
plasticity.
Currently, I am a
member of Indonesian Doctors Association Denpasar Branch (IDI), member of the Indonesian
Neurological Association, chapter of Denpasar (Perdossi), member of the
Indonesian Neurobehavioral Study Group, member of Asian Society Against Dementia (ASAD), and in charge of guiding the
thesis of several Neurology Specialist candidates from 2014 until now.
I am also as contributor to the preparation of National Dementia
Vascular Book 2015, 2018 National Dementia Clinical Practice Manual (PPK),
contributor to the study guide block Neurosience of Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University Medical Education program, as an editor on
revising the book of ‘Dasar-Dasar Ilmu
Penyakit Saraf’ (by Prof. dr. I Gst. Ngr. Gde Ngoerah, Alm) 2017
edition. This book is a handbook of Neurology for the medical or neurologist
profession and also created the Neurobehavioral module. I am also active in
giving presentations at scientific forums and also made research and national
or international journal consistently with Neurobehavioral studies. An e-book
project contributor in IntechOpen edited by Dr Ariste Kyriaki Ladas, 2020,
contributor of the National Neurobehavioral textbook with the topic of Broca Aphasia and
Fronto Temporal Dementia (FTD) 2020. I also have 2 HAKI
certificates for the book titled ‘Neurologi Berkarya’ and the Certificate of HAKI under the
dissertation of amyloid-beta deposits, increased BDNF
and decreased CRP with dementia mouse which are associated with physical
exercise. I had joined many educational seminars (local/ national), research
proportional seminars, and curriculum program also attended training in Training of Trainer (TOT) Medical Study, Training of Trainers Clinical Teacher Educational Program of Specialist Doctor at Faculty of medicine, Udayana
University, research roadmap
workshops, and training of Good
Clinical Practice.
I passed the National
Lecturer Certification (Serdos) and received the Lecturer Certificate in 2018,
acquired a National Test Certificate of Doctor Professional Competency
Examination (UKMPPD) and Indonesian National College of Neurology Examination
Certificate (KNI) as well as had participated in the P2KPT / AA-PEKERTI
Training in Udayana University in 2019.
