Ida Bagus Gde Sujana was born in Denpasar on July 11, 1955, graduated with a medical bachelor's program in 1983 at Udayana University, went on to study at the specialist medical anesthesiology program at Airlangga University and graduated in 1992 and obtained a Master of Science degree at the Hindu University of Indonesia in 2004 .

He is active in teaching, guiding and testing Bachelor of Medicine students, the Medical Profession and the Specialist Education Program.

Besides teaching, he is active in community service activities as well as research and publication of books or scientific journals.
