Satya Kumara is an academic member of the Faculty of Engineering at the Department of Electrical Engineering. He received a Bachelor of Engineering from the Department of Electrical Engineering at Udayana University in Bali in 1995. He received a Master of Science Electrical Power degree from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in the United Kingdom 2000. He received a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from School of Electrical Electronics Computer Engineering, the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 2006.

He has taught a number of subjects including Power Electronics, Electric Drive, Electrical Energy Conversion Technology,  Renewable Energy Technology, Smart grid, Energy Management, and English in Electrical Engineering.  His research interests include electric drive, renewable energy,  energy management, and smart systems.
