Born on April 4, 1962 in Denpasar, Bali. After completing elementary and secondary education in the city of birth then continued his higher education in Civil Engineering at the Bandung Institute of Technology, which was completed in 1987. Served as Technical Staff at the Regional Office of the Public Works of the Province of Bali in 1988 and was subsequently placed in the Sub-Department of Irrigation Public Works Office of the Province of Bali in 1989. Received as a teaching staff at the Polytechnic of Udayana University (now Bali State Polytechnic) in 1990 and starting in 1996 served as teaching staff in the Civil Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University. Master and Doctoral education was undertaken at the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon in France in the period 1997-2001 with a scholarship from the Engineering Education Development Project. Assigned as Head of Material Technology Laboratory in 2004-2007, Head of the Civil Engineering Department in 2008-2011 and Head of the Civil Engineering Master Study Program in 2012-2015. Active role in Udayana University Quality Assurance Agency (now Institute of Educational Development and Quality Assurance) from 2006 to 2017 with his last assignment as Head of the Learning Development Center. Become a facilitator at Higher Education Quality Assurance training as well as at Higher Education Curriculum Learning Process training in various study programs at universities in Bali and outside Bali. Actively participates in scientific and professional activities at the national and international level. The professional associations involved in Indonesian Road Development Association (HPJI), Indonesian Society of Civil and Structural Engineers (HAKI), Indonesian Association of Earthquake Engineering Experts (AARGI) and Asian Concrete Federation (ACF). Currently serving as Head of HAKI Bali for 2018-2021. Became Deputy II of Construction Service Development Board of Bali Province (LPJK) in 2011-2015. Served as a member of the Building Expert Team, at Public Works and Spatial Planning Office, Denpasar City from 2014 to 2017 and subsequently as a member of the Building Construction Worthiness Certificate Team in the same service starting in 2018.
