Biografi

I Made Kardena is a teacing staff at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University. He was graduated in 2002 as a doctor of veterinary medicine (DVM) at Udayana University. Meanwhile, in 2009, he got his master's degree in veterinary studies (MVS) graduated from the school of veterinary and life sciences, Murdoch University, Australia. This master study program was funded by the Australian Development Scholarship (ADS).

 

After graduating from his master degree, he became actively involved in undergraduate lecturing program in veterinary pathology and epidemiology; and the structural organization at the veterinary faculty of Udayana University. From 2009 to 2010 he was appointed as a secretary of the Department of animal diseases, at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University. Then, in 2010 - 2013 he was the head of a veterinary pathology laboratory and a coordinator of diagnostic laboratories in the veterinary internship program at the faculty. In addition, from 2010 to 2014, he was at the position of the secretary of animal ethics committee at the same institution, before then he was in a position at the vice dean for institution collaboration and student affairs at the Faculty from 2014 to 2017. Furthermore, he was actively involved in the editorial member of veterinary ‘Jurnal Veteriner’, an Indonesian veterinary scientific journal from 2015 to 2018, and in the same period, he was also one of the staff of Udayana university student counselors.

 

However, in the last quarter of 2018, he had an opportunity to join a bridging program at Kansas State University, in the USA. This program was funded by the Indonesian Department of Higher Education. In early of 2019, he got a scholarship to pursue his doctorate study program at Murdoch University, Australia. His proposed research is about a zoonotic disease, Japanese encephalitis in Bali.
