Born in Surabaya on December 10, 1962. Graduated from elementary school in SD 1 Saraswati Denpasar in 1974, junior high school was completed in SMP Negeri 1 in 1977 and senior high school in SMA negeri 3 Denpasar in 1981. Higher education was carried out in Study Program of Veterinary Medicine Udayana University from 1981 to 1985 and continued education to obtain a veterinarian degree at Faculty of Veterinary, Airlangga University, Surabaya starting in 1985 and obtained a veterinarian degree (Drh) in 1987. Master's Education is carried out in the Reproductive Health Science Study Program, Airlangga University Post-Graduate Program began in 1993 and obtained a Masters of Health (M.Kes) in 1996.
