Born on 1 February 1960 in Bangli, Bali,  education from elementary to high school (SMA) was taken in Bangli, graduated from high school in 1979 then studied at the Veterinary Study Program at Udayana University until 1983 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine, from 1983 to 1986 completed the Veterinary Profession Program at Airlangga University in Surabaya with the title Veterinarian, in 1987 was appointed as a lecturer at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Udayana University until now, from 1993 to 1996,  completed  Masters degree with the title of MKes at Airlangga University in Surabaya
