Biografi

Putu Agus Ardiana, PhD is a lecturer in accounting at Udayana University in Bali, Indonesia. He has been working for the university since 2005, teaching a wide range of accounting courses in Indonesian and English. He is an Indonesian chartered accountant.

He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's degree in financial management from Udayana University (the best graduate in 2004 and 2006 respectively). He went to the University of Adelaide in Australia to pursue a dual master's degree in accounting and finance and successfully completed the degree with distinction in 2009. He was awarded a lifetime membership by the Golden Key International Honour Society of the University of Adelaide Chapter in the same year.

He completed his doctoral degree (doctor of philosophy/PhD) in accounting at Durham University Business School in the United Kingdom in January 2022. He defended his PhD thesis entitled 'Stakeholder Engagement in Sustainability Reporting in Indonesia' with an UNCONDITIONAL PASS (i.e., the highest degree of PhD thesis completion and defence without any revision). His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals, such as the Australian Accounting Review and Meditari Accountancy Research - also being reviewed in some other reputable journals. He won the best presentation award at the University of Hull's PhD conference in the United Kingdom in 2017. He is an associate fellow of the higher education academy, awarded by the Advance HE (previously the Higher Education Academy) in the United Kingdom. He has been an ad-hoc reviewer in reputable international journals, such as Managerial Finance and Sustainability Accounting, Management and Policy Journal.
