I Dewa Nym Nurweda Putra was appointed as a lecturer in the department of Marine Science, Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries in December 2010, specialising in Satellite Remote Sensing Technology and Images Data Processing. Dewa completed his PhD in 2013, undertaking a full-time PhD (2010-2013) into the use of satellite remote sensing dataset in the study of the Long Term characteristics of the Indonesian Seas, within the department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Yamaguchi, Japan. His PhD was funded by Indonesian goverment, the Ministry of National Education in exchange for his maintaining the multi satellite data collection at Yamaguchi University, and for producing the Indonesian Seas characteristics related to the ENSO and IOD phenomena.
