Biografi
I was born in Tista, Tabanan regency, Bali province and spent my childhood time until senior high school in this town. I got my bachelor from department of biology, Faculty Mathematics and Natural Sciences and master degree from School of Life Science and Technology, both in Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). I was also working as junior researcher in downstream processing laboratory, biotechnology research center of PAU ITB while taking my master degree. My research interest is about aquaculture, especially shrimp and prawn culture. After finishing my master degree, I had an opportunity for working in a private company which was a leading company for shrimp aquaculture. I was working there for about 3 years before I accepted as lecturer in Biology Department, Udayana University. After 2 years working at the university, I got DIKTI scholarship to continue my study for doctoral degree in Laboratory of Aquaculture and Artemia Reference Centre, Ghent University, Belgium. My research topic was bacterial quorum sensing and quorum quenching application in prawn larviculture. In the period of my doctoral study, Udayana University establish a new faculty, the Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries. So after finishing PhD degree, I return to Udayana University and was assigned at the Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries, which is relevant to my PhD.
