I Putu Gede Budisanjaya's research interests are in Agricultural Engineering. His specialization is the integration of ICT and agriculture science, smart farming, intelligent sensing, control system, digital image processing for detecting nutrient status, and disease in plant and mechatronics. 

He has been actively mentoring students to design some projects related to agriculture control systems, software development, and the identification of biological responses using digital image processing.

His core courses are mechatronics, measurements and instrumentation, computer programming, and the application of ICT in Agriculture.
