Biografi
Nyoman Sukma Arida, graduate scholar of
Faculty of Geography of Gadjah Mada University (2000), Magister of
Environmental Sciences University of Udayana (2008), and S3 Tourism Studies UGM
(2015). He has since S1 focused on ecotourism areas, sustainable tourism, and
community-based tourism. Before working as a lecturer, Sukma was briefly
involved in the world of Non-Government Organisation (NGO), journalism, and
research. Since being a lecturer, SUKMA actively examines the topic of
ecotourism, community participation in rural tourism development, and tourism
dynamics and natural resources. Some of his research titles include;
Establishing village and Investor relations, ecotourism dynamics of Bali,
drafting of tourism village criteria, role of community empowerment in Tourism
Village development in Gianyar, tourism development Model of Tri Ning Danu, and
local Leadership role in the development of tourism village in Gianyar.
Up to now Sukma has written several book titles including: Sustainable
Tourism in the Global Vortex Crisis (2010), Pandora Bali, reflections behind
the Roar of Turism (2012), Ecotourism Dynamics of Tri Ning Tri (2016), and The
Sustainable Tourism Planning of Karangasem (2018)
In addition to active teaching, Sukma also actively develops cooperation
with his faculty and several government agencies and departments including the
tourism office of Gianyar Regency, the tourism office of Karangasem Regency,
the tourism office of Manggarai Timur, NTT, Conservation International
Indonesia, and Universitas Gadjah Mada. Last, in September
2019 Sukma together with several alumni faculty established tourism consular
and marketplace Godevi.id which is the only product innovation Faculty of Tourism in 2019.
