Biografi

My name is Irma Rahyuda, and I started my career working as a civil servant in the field of education (teaching as a lecturer) beginning in 2003 until now. More or less teaching experience in the faculty of tourism in the department of tourism DIV, Udayana University, for 17 years.

In 2000 I completed my education in hospitality management from the Bali Nusa Dua tourism high school. I completed my work experience during my school years in the form of training in several large hotels both at home and abroad. In 1995 I completed my training in food and beverage service at the Bali Beach Sanur hotel. I continued in the front office and back office for three months at the Bali Hilton International Nusa Dua hotel before the next training departure at the Ramada Fallsview Niagara falls hotel in the city of Ontario, Canada, in 1995 to 1996. Besides that, after basic training, which was a program from my school, I also had to complete training in management, which eventually led me to work at the Shangrilla Rasa Sentosa Resort Hotel in Singapore in 1998. Finally, I, obtained a bachelor's degree in applied tourism expert.

Then in 1999, during my study period, I worked while finishing college and finished my thesis report. I got the chance to work as a resort manager, where at that time, the growth of villas in Bali was just beginning, especially in the Batu Belig area in Seminyak. In 2001 I worked at the International airline in Singapore airlines Bali as a ground handling where the scope of work is the overall operational handling of guests from starting a check-in, lounge, lost and found, catering on the plane, the arrival of guests to report manifests, delays and grounded. All I have ever done.

Related to that, what my motivation that has taken my career as a lecturer is, I tried to apply in 2003 as a lecturer where at that time, the tourism faculty had only one tourism study program. Then the working hours are not too tight where I am still able to take care of my husband and take responsibility for my primary job as teaching staff, doing community service, and conducting research.

After I became a permanent lecturer in 2005, I finally returned to study and complete my Masters in Management in 2009 with a concentration on Human Resources at the Faculty of Economics, UNUD. I am interested in the field of human resource development because I am convinced that moving in the field of social tourism is the driving force in service management and is an asset of the company (human capital) in managing company services. When I started studying in tourism in 1994 until working as a lecturer in 2003 and completing a master's school in 2009, I became aware that what I had traveled and experienced was still small and was never satisfied to continue learning to develop myself.

Then after I finished my master's degree, I got a chance and obtained a scholarship to continue my Masters in Tourism with the Indonesia France double degree scholarship in 2010 to 2013, where I finally received two master's degrees with a Master's degree in tourism and a research master.

My knowledge, education, and experience in my career at Udayana gave me a lot of opportunities, especially in the field of international cooperation from 2014 to 2018. I was appointed as Head of the International Cooperation for the Faculty of Tourism, where I was a lot of things with that position. I have collaborative relationships with major universities in Europe and Asia. For example, I have sent students like student exchanges in the Belmawa DIKTI program twice to Palacky university to Chez Republik. Then conduct international research collaboration by obtaining funding from the NUSANTARA Research program and collaborating research with the Toulouse University France. also I have an opportunity to teach in Rajabath University in Thailand and opens training or internship access for students of the UNUD Tourism Management Management DIV program.

Regarding international cooperation, several concurrent positions that I obtained were the chair of the MICE Laboratory (International Convention and Exhibition meeting), wherein 2015, for the first time, Tourism held an international seminar with the theme Food Heritage by inviting international lectures from the University of Toulouse, France. Then I was able to manage two international conferences held in Bali and was entrusted by the Government's Goods and Services Management and Procurement Agency in 2016 and 2017 held an international conference from the International Lake Conference worldwide which was held in Bali, and the tourism faculties had the opportunity to participate in managing the conference planning.

At present, I am continuing to write a dissertation on a graduate program in the Udayana tourism doctoral program. Hopefully, in the next odd semester in September, I can submit a feasibility exam. From all experiences at Udayana, hopefully, my presence will be able to provide creativity and innovation in the development program of this institution, especially in the tourism faculty of UNUD.
