Biografi

My name is Anak Agung Istri Kesumadewi but at home I used to be called Gung Tri while my friends in the office call me Gung Dewi and  others friends gave me a nickname "Istriku". I was born in Denpasar on December 23, 1968 as the third child of Anak Agung Gde Sudarsana (Father) and I G A Putu Sudartini, Alm. (Mother). I am an alumnus of SD Negeri 18 Denpasar, SMP Negeri 3 Denpasar, and SMA Negeri 1 Denpasar. I began my undergraduate education at the Faculty of Agriculture of Udayana University in 1987 by joining lecture at  the Department of Soil Science and graduated in 1992. On the following year I joined as a lecturer at this College and then continued my Masters program at the Bogor Institute of Agriculture in 1994 in the Soil Fertility Study Program. The last degree of my education was doctorate that I obtained in 2015 from the Agricultural Sciences Study Program at Udayana University in the Biodiversity Concentration. Since 2019 I have pointed out as the Head of Soil Biology Laboratory in the Agroecotechnology Study Program at the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University. I really like the field of Soil Biology especially the Soil Ecology so that my research is more about soil functional organisms, such as earthworm, mycorrhiza, phosphate solubilizing microbes, Azospirillum, and now it is starting to lead to soil quality. I have joined a collaborative research with UGhent (Belgium), UGM, Unsyiah, and Unand since 2019. Our current research is focused on bamboo biochar.
