Born in Tabanan Bali, on January 15, 1961, elementary education to high school was completed at Tabanan in 1968-1980. Bachelor’s education was completed at the Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Pest and Plant Diseases in 1980-1985. In 1992 – 1995 took the Postgraduate Program in Plant Pest Studies , Department of Agricultural Sciences at Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta.  From 1986 – now active as a lecturer in the Plant Protection, Department of Agroecotechnology, Faculty of Agriculture Udayana University
