Biografi
I MADE SUDARMA, born in Denpasar, Bali on July 28, 1960. Has a wife and four daughters. Two daughters (first and second child) already have their own families. Completed graduate study in the Agricultural Socio-Economic Department,Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University (UNUD) in 1984 and was appointed as a lecturer in January 1986. Took a course on Analysis of Agricultural and Agribusiness Projects at the University of Indonesia and continued Master Program (S2) at IPB (Bogor Agriculture University) in August 1988. Completed his education S2 in January 1991 and returned to campus as a lecturer at the Faculty of Agriculture, UNUD.
Since graduating from S2, he has been actively involved in The Center of Environmental Research, UNUD. Subjects taught since graduating S2 are Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Statistics Introduction, Regression –Correlation. in 2009, starting to help teach at the Environmental Graduate Program and also at the Agribusiness Graduate Program. In 2001, was asked by the Governor of Bali as a Head of the Sarbagita Solid Waste Management Agency (BPKS). BPKS is a non-technical and non-structural institution with the main task for building and involving partnership three regencies and one city, namely Denpasar City, Badung , Gianyar and Tabanan Regencies (SARBAGITA). Invitations as speakers and doing comparative studies to several countries relating to waste technology processing are also often done at this time. In 2015 we found a company to be a partner for waste processing, which used GALFAD Technology, i,e Gasification, Landfill, and Anaerobic Digestion in one site. In 2007 the technology Waste to Energy (WtE) was registered as the CDM (Clean Development Mechanism) Project and that way had been visited by several UNFCC delegates when Bali hosted the Climate Change Conference.
But unfortunately the CER (Carbon Emission Rate) certificate failed to be obtained by partners, where the main project income is hoped from carbon credits. The electricity produced by this technology in 2008 but the revenue from electricity sales is not enough to cover the company's operational costs and to continue the overall project development. Because the SARBAGITA government does not provide tipping fees and the company's also unable to cover operational costs and continue the construction of processing plants, in 2016 the collaboration between the SARBAGITA Regional Government and partners was terminated. While at BPKS, precisely in 2011, succeeded in the selection to win an invitation from ICMA -USA as a participant in the Climate Change Professional Fellowship Program for one month from September -October 2011. Due to the busy schedule at BPKS and carrying out the duties as a lecturer at university , it caused postgraduate education (Doctoral Program) to be postponed and could only betaken in August 2009 at the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics, UNUD, and completed in January 2013.
