Borned in Tabanan, Bali, Indonesia on 2nd November 1956. Completed Bachelor Degree (Ir.) in Agriculture Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University, Denpasar, Bali in1981. After finishing Master Degree (MAppSc) in Department Food Science and Technology, School of Biological Science, University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia in 1986, majoring in Postharvest Physiology of Subtropical fruits, I continued my postgraduate program at the same university and awarded  Doctor Degree (PhD) in 1991, majoring in Postharvest Physiology of Tropical Fruits. After returning to Udayana University as a teaching staff, I had a chance to take various trainings/courses related to environmental impacts such as Basic and Advance Course on Environment Impact Assessment, Training on Environmental Management for Bali Urban Infrastructure Project of World Bank, Basic Course on Environment Audit, Evaluation Course on Environment Impact Assessment, SQF System Training Course – HACCP principle – Guideline for Implementation and Use at Curtin University Western Australia, Life Cycle Assessment Training at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology – Melbourne - Australia, Environmental Management System, Certification for Environmental Impact Assessment as Team Leader, Training Course on Strategic Environment Assessment, Special Training on Safety and Monitoring Techniques of Dam Construction, and others.
