Dewa Ayu Swastini, or commonly called Dewa Ayu was born at Denpasar in 1979, she spent her childhood in Sanur a place for tourism destination in Denpasar Bali. Her daily interactions with many tourists at that time gave a lot of influence on her mindset and future vision to become a strong person to make her society keep strong. This is proven by her strong desire to study at Department of Pharmacy at Universitas Gadjah Mada or well know as UGM in 1998. Her vision is to be a great pharmacist who can help people in medicine field.

While studying at UGM Dewa Ayu was also active in several student activities like KMHDI (Kelompok Mahasiswa Hindu Dharma Indonesia - Hindu Dharma Indonesia Student Group). She met many people who strengthens her communication and collaboration skills which are needed as a soft skill in this 21st century’s. After completing her Bachelor at UGM in 2002, Dewa Ayu continued the pharmacist professional study to fill the requirement of how to help people using medicine.

Since 2006 or a year after Pharmacy Department in Mathematics and Natural Sciences Faculty of Udayana University was established, Dewa Ayu joined to become a lecturer there. During 2006 - 2009 Dewa Ayu taught several subjects including: Pharmaconogsis, Specialties and Medical Devices, Pharmacotherapy, General Toxicology.

Then in 2009 she continued her master's degree at Airlangga University for two years. After completing her studies in 2011, Dewa Ayu returned to UDAYANA UNIVERSITY to continue her passion as a good pharmacist. Since 2018 until Now she is conducted as a Head of Pharmacy Department to run the department to make the department become more known and more helpfull to the society.

Not only conducted as a head of Pharmacy Department, Dewa Ayu also chosen as a head of Indonesian Pharmacist Association for Gianyar Regency (Ikatan Apoteker Indonesia-IAI Cabang Gianyar) since 2019. This association does many activities to the society like doing a charity by giving a Hand Sanitizer,  Personal Protection Equipement (PPE) to several Hospitals around Gianyar Regency during this Pandemic period.

Several research study are currently underway are:

(*) Atherosclerosis Prediction with High Sensitivity C-Reactive Protein (hs-CRP) and Related Risk Factors in Patients with Dyslipidemia

(*) THE ROLE OF PHARMACISTS MEDICATION THERAPY REVIEW ON IMPROVING THERAPEUTIC EFFECTIVENESS, QUALITY OF LIFE, AND DRUG RELATED PROBLEMS IN TYPE 2 DIABETES MELLITUS PATIENTS. A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW
