Biografi

Irdhawati, who was born in Sungguminasa, Somba Opu District, Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi, on January 1, 1972, completed her education from elementary school to junior high school in Limbung, Bajeng District, Gowa Regency. After graduating from the Ujung Pandang Health Department Pharmacy High School in 1990, she continued her studies at Hasanuddin University (UNHAS), majoring in Chemistry, FMIPA (1990 - 1996). After graduating with her undergraduate degree, she participated in the Karyasiswa Development Undergraduate Education (DUE) program for fresh graduates funded by the World Bank to become a Lecturer who must be willing to be placed throughout Indonesia. In the program, she was accepted as a prospective lecturer in the Chemistry Department, FMIPA, Udayana University. She then continued her studies in the Chemistry Masters Program, Department of Chemistry, FMIPA, Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) from 1997 to 1999. He received a scholarship from Karyaswa DUE and research funding assistance from PT Indofood Sukses Makmur and the Van Deventer Foundation in the Netherlands. During his master's program, he took a series of CPNS tests and litsus at ITB. After graduating, he joined the Chemistry Department of Udayana University as a lecturer and became a civil servant lecturer after taking the Pre-Service Training in Denpasar in 2000.

As a lecturer from the Karyasiswa program, Irdhawati is required to undergo a 5-year service bond before continuing her studies to the next level. After completing her service bond, in 2006 she returned to ITB to continue her studies in the Chemistry Doctoral Program, with the promoter Prof. Dr. Buchari (deceased), and Prof. Dr. Indra Noviandri and Prof. Dr. Slamet Ibrahim as co-promoters. She received research funding assistance from the ITB Postgraduate Program which was carried out in Japan in 2009. Her final project research was in the field of Electrochemistry in the Analytical Chemistry Expertise Group with the title "Ephedrinium Ion Transfer at the Liquid|Liquid Interface with the Voltammetry Method". She completed her doctoral program in chemistry in 2011 and returned to work at Udayana University.

The obligations of lecturers that must be carried out are the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely Education and Teaching, Research, and Community Service. In the field of education, Irdhawati has participated in several trainings to improve her competence, including Training for Writers and Translators of Textbooks by DRTPM Dikti, Training for Reviewers of International Journals by the American Chemical Society, and Training for Competency Assessors by LSP Unud (BNSP). In the field of teaching, she teaches several courses in the Bachelor of Chemistry Study Program, Master of Chemistry Study Program, and Study Programs outside FMIPA. The courses taught in the Bachelor of Chemistry Study Program are Separation Methods, Instrumental Chemical Analysis, Electrochemistry, Chemical Information Technology, and Management Laboratory Safety; in the Chemistry Masters Program, he teaches courses in Separation Techniques and Instrumentation, Drug, Food, and Cosmetic Analysis; Laboratory Quality Management; and Advanced Electrochemistry; as well as courses in Basic Chemistry, Islamic Religious Education, and Basic Natural Sciences in other programs outside Fac. of Science. The research field developed is the modification of chemical sensors to detect chemicals in drugs and food, with funding from DRTPM Dikti and PNBP LPPM Unud. He has also implemented several Community Service programs, especially in the field of prevention and handling of environmental pollution.

Some of the tasks from Unud given to Irdhawati are Head of the Analytical Chemistry Lab Chemistry Study Program (2013-2015), Internal Quality Assurance Auditor (AMI) and Internal Companion for accreditation (2015-present), Member of the Fac. of Science Quality Assurance Unit (2020-present), Head of the Chemistry Study Program Quality Assurance Team (2022-present), Chemistry Study Program Student Advisor (2022-present), Chemistry Website Manager (2020-2023), and Chemical Material Manager (2016-present). Research collaborations have been carried out with the Department of Chemistry, Fac. Of Science, Shinshu Univ, Japan (Prof. Hirosuke Tatsumi); Department of Hydrocarbon Engineering, Kyoto Univ. Japan (Prof. Takashi Kakiuchi), Department of Chemistry, Ibaraki Univ. Japan (Prof. Seiji Mori), and Marine Ecology Research Center, School of Environment, Science, and Engineering, Southern Cross University, Lismore, NSW, Australia (Prof. Amanda Reichelt-Brusheet). During her time as a lecturer at the Chemistry Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University, Irdhawati has produced 31 scientific articles published in reputable international journals Scopus (Q2-Q4) and accredited national journals, and has attended dozens of national and international conferences at home and abroad. Irdhawati is also active in professional organizations in the field of chemistry at the national and international levels, including being the Executive Board of the Indonesian Chemical Society Center (PP HKI), and the Bali Branch of HKI, as well as a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC-England), Society of Environmental, Toxicology and Chemistry-Asia Pacific (SETAC-Asia Pacific), and the American Chemical Society (ACS-USA).
