in 1991, continued her higher education at the Biology Department, FMIPA UNUD.
The Bachelor of Science (S.Sc.) degree was gained in 1996 and in February 1997 was appointed as
a teaching staff at the beloved alma mater. Continuing her Masters education in
2011 with an AusAid scholarship at The School of Plant Biology at the
University of Western Australia. The Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in the
field of horticulture was achieved in 2004. In 2009 she returned to The University of Western
Australia to study for her doctorate and
her PhD degree was achieved in 2012. Starting in 2012, he is now actively
teaching in the Biology Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences
(FMIPA) of Udayana University at the S1, S2 and S3 levels. Teaching plant
courses (Botany) include: Plant Physiology, Plant Ecophysiology, Phytohormones,
Essential Oils, Bioenergy, Phytocosmetics, Plant Breeding, Plant Genetics,
Bioindustry, Entrepreneurship and English. Actively conducting research with a
focus on exploring oil-producing plant species that have the potential to be
used as biodiesel feed stocks. It also examines species of plants producing
essential oils, identifies active compounds and processes them into derivative
products based on the biological activity of certain types of essential oils.
The current research grants is extraction and analysis of essential oils from fragrance
lemongrass (Cymbopogon nardus) and
legundi (Vitex trifolia) which are
then formulated as an anti-mosquito lotion to prevent the bite of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. Actively
attending various national and international scientific seminars to disseminate
the results of research that has been achieved. The results are published in
the national journal indexed by Sinta and in the international journal indexed
by Scopus. Other academic tasks that are carried out are to supervise students
in Field Work, supervise student’s theses, theses examiners and become students’
academic advisers (PA). Actively doing community service activities and has won
a Science and Technology grant for the Community (IbM) in 2017 and the Udayana
Serving Program (PUM) in 2019.
