My name is Ni Gusti Ayu Manik Ermayanti. I was born on August 25, 1968 in Tabanan. My parents named Aji I Gusti Ngurah Alit is a retired police officer and Ms. Ni Nyoman Weci is a retired teacher. I am the second child of three siblings. My sister's name is I Gusti Ngurah Gede Kartika and my sister is named I Gusti Ngurah Karmayasa.

From when I was little to 4th grade, I lived in a dorm and always moved around because I was a POLRI. After entering grade 5 elementary school, I settled in Tabanan. I completed junior high school (1981-1984) and high school (1984-1987) in Tabanan, then I studied at Biologi FMIPA UNUD. After completing my study in Biology FMIPA UNUD (1987-1992), I was accepted as a Lecturer (1994) and until now I was a lecturer in Biology FMIPA UNUD. I continued my Masters at the UGM Faculty of Biology,  Yogyakarta (1998-2001) and finished my doctoral program in Animal Husbandry at Udayana University (2013-2016).
