Biografi

Ni Luh Watiniasih Ph.D. is a lecture at the Biology Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University, Bali, Indonesia, since the 1st of March 1991. She was born in Karangasem in 1966. She was completed her bachelor’s degree at Airlangga University, Surabaya, Indonesia in 1990. During her duty as a lecturer, she continued her study to a Master's degree at the School of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Flinders University of South Australia, and graduated in 2000. She finished her Doctorate degree from the School of Biology, Faculty of Science, Monash University, Melbourne Australia in 2008. She is pursuing the field of dry and wetland ecology, in particular of biodiversity, behavioral and evolutionary ecology of insects, and other invertebrates. She is teaching in the team for several subjects including Biodiversity, Biogeography, Evolution, Plant-Animal Interaction, Pollution, Invertebrate, and Vertebrate Taxonomy, Animal Ecology, Animal behavior, Ethnobiology, and Research Methodology. She is eager to enhance her skill and knowledge by conducting research in bee diversity and its products as well as in plastic pollution that is a big concern to our environment, particularly in the water bodies.  The implementation of research in the community is conducted by service activities that were one compulsory part of lecturer to be conducted. Currently, Ni Luh Watiniasih Ph.D. is a Dean of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University for the period of 2019-2023, before then, she was appointed as the Vice Dean of Student Affairs and Information at Faculty of Marine and Fisheries, Udayana University from 2017 to 2019.
