Biografi

Made Diah Lestari has completed PhD in Psychology at Massey University, New Zealand in 2022. She passed with no emendations and received Dean’s List for an exceptional doctoral thesis award. Intergenerational relationships and family caregiving have been her area of interest since population ageing becomes an issue in Indonesia. She was a member of the expert team for a regional ageing policy-making in Bali, has contributed her research on the pilot study of lifelong education to The Indonesian National Development Planning, and the development of community integrated services for older people in Jogja and Bali. Currently, she is assisting The National Population and Family Planning Board and Indonesia Ramah Lansia in managing public informal school for older people in Bali. As a lecturer and a researcher for Udayana University, she has published book chapters and papers in reputable national and international journals and has been serving as an editorial member for some accredited national journals. Her research interest is in the area of ageing studies, especially about ageing policy, family caregiving, using critical gerontology and discourse narrative analysis framework.
