Biografi

I Md. Ady Wirawan is a full professor at the Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. He is currently the Associate Dean for Student and Information Affairs at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.

Dr. Ady Wirawan completed his medical degree from Udayana University School of Medicine in 2001, and then continued to study for a Master of Public Health (MPH) at Monash University in 2008, Australia under the Australian Development Scholarships (ADS). In 2015, he completed his PhD degree in Aviation and Travel Health at the University of Otago, New Zealand.

His previous works and experiences include emergency physician at Ari Canti Hospital between 2001 and 2002, Head of Community Health Center (Puskesmas) of Laulalang in Central Sulawesi Province between 2002 and 2004, during which he received awards for distinguished leadership in health services (Dokter Teladan) by the Regent of Tolitoli and the Governor of Central Sulawesi.

His research interests and scientific works are mainly in the field of travel health, travel medicine, aviation health, occupational health, and global health. Currently he is the principal investigator for the Integrated Travel Health Surveillance and Information Systems at Destinations (TravHeSID Project), and also the founder of the Indonesia Travel Health Network (InaTravNet).
