I Wayan Sugiritama  was born in Bangli, Bali, Indonesia in 1975. He received the Bachelor degree in medicine  from the University of Brawijaya, Indonesia, in 2000,  and the Master  degrees in Basic Medical and Biomedical Science  from the Gajdah Mada University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, in 2006.

In 2004, he joined the Department of Histology, University of  Udayana, as a Lecturer. His current research interests include human reproduction, antioxidant, phytoestrogen, menopause and anti-aging medicine.
