I am in particular interested in such a question, Does language affects human cognition?' To find out out the answers, I dedicated all my studies related to the question.

One good linguistic aspect to test the relation between language and human cognition is spatial systems across languages that include both topological and non-topological relations. My studies on the topic in Rongga, Balinese, Indonesian, and Kata Kolok (a sign language spoken in Bengkala village, Buleleng Regency) revealed that language indeed affects the way human thinks. The results of my study on the system have also been published in a Scopus-indexed Journal (i.e. Lingua). Additionally, my interest is in first language acquisition on several grammatical aspects in Balinese and Indonesian (e.g. causatives, passives, linguistic control). The findings of my study on Indonesian passive structures have also been published in a highly-ranked journal (i.e. Cognitive Science).
