I Nyoman Suyatna is a lecturer at the Administrative Law Department of the Faculty of Law Udayana University (FL Unud). He teaches some courses including Administrative Law, Environmental Law, Tourism Law, Agrarian Law, and Tax Law. In recent years he works on some research related to the role of local governments in developing tourism and optimizing regional revenue expenditure and budgets to address specific matters. He was Vice-Rector for Student Affairs of Udayana University, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs FL Unud, and Secretary of the Master of Law Study Programs.
