Ramaswati Purnawan is a lecturer of Communication program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences.

She has a master in International Communication Management The Hague University, The Nederlands. During her master study, she performed her research internship at GDLN Centre, UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education in Delft.  She started her PhD project on Marketing Communication of Bali Tourism at Udayana University, Bali in 2014. Her professional background and experiences as communication officers at international organizations and events support her academic qualifications.

Research

Ramaswati's research focuses on the relationship between organizations and society and the function of communication for organization, particularly in the context of  tourism.  This include internal, corporate and marketing communication as well as branding in digital era.  Another line of research explores communication among individuals from different cultural backgrounds, which takes place within global industry of tourism.
