The farmer admit that implemented of technology package can increase yields by 23%.

Food Crop Research Group, Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University, chaired by Prof. Dr. Ir. I Gusti Ngurah Santosa, MS. offers a package of rice cultivation technology from previous studies. Prof. I Gusti Ngurah Santosa explained the results of research that had been carried out on one of the local farmers' land offered to be applied. The research funded by the Udayana Grant was entitled: The Implementation of the Paddy Rice Technology Package in Sempidi Subak. The fertilizer dosage applied was based on soil analysis.

The technology packages that offered are: 200 kg urea / ha, 100 kg Sp36 / ha, and 100 kg KCl / ha. Planting a single seed at a young age (7-10 days), administering water scrub, interspersed with drying, and spacing of plant 25 cm x 25 cm. In addition, cow manure is also added at a dose of 5 tons / ha and the addition of lime at a dose of 0.8 tons / ha.

Farmers whose land is used as a sample trial admit that the technology package implemented can increase yields from around 120 kw / 15 are (8 tons / ha) to around 148 kw / 15 are (9.87 tons / ha) or on average increased by about 23%. The benefits of the tested technology package can still increase rice yields at the same level for the next planting season, farmers said.
