The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science, Universitas Udayana during the COVID-19 has participated in its prevention in various ways. Soon after the COVID-19 pandemic has spread and reported in various media outlets, the lecturers and staff of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural sciences immediately took part in the countermeasures to help with the pandemic. Together with the Head of Study Programs, the Faculty raised funds to be donated to the medical staff who take part to overcome the pandemic. The fund raised at the faculty level was coordinated by Vice Dean of Student affairs (Prof. Dr. I Wayan Gede Gunawan,S.Si.M.Si (), then transferred to the COVID-19 task force of Universitas Udayana lead by Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Wyasa Putra, S.H., M.Hum. Some amount of the funds raised was also given directly by the Dean of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (Dra. Ni Luh Watiniasih, M.Sc., Ph.D), accompanied by the Vice Dean of General Affairs and Finance (Dr. Drs. I Made Sukadana, M.Si) and the Vice Dean of Student Affairs (Prof.Dr. I Wayan Gede Gunawan,S.Si.M.Si.) to the Universitas Udayana Hospital, who was represented by the Director of the Universitas Udayana Hospital Prof. Dr. dr. Soon after the lockdown announcement in Universitas Udayana, lecturers and staff under the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, took immediate action to help students affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, particularly for undergraduate students who were staying around Universitas Udayana, Bukit Jimbaran Campus and those who are staying in a boarding house. The affected students were identified by the Student Associations of each Study Program or their academic counselors. Those Study Programs: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics (https://bali.tribunnews.com/2020/05/05/), Pharmacy, and Informatics, were handed donations in the form of food staple to the affected students. Some of Study Programs gave donations in several stages (figure 2).
The Rector of Universitas Udayana in partnership with the Bali Regional Police Headquarters was appointed the Dean of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science to produce hand sanitizer and disinfectants. Production of hand sanitizer and disinfectants was conducted by the lecturers, laboratory staff, and students of the Pharmacy Study Program and was coordinated by the Head Study Program, Apt.
